Introduction

Chokho Hisab is a mobile accounting app made by Sunray Datalinks ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it plain.

Chokho Hisab is offline-first: your books are created and stored on your own phone. We only handle the limited data needed to sign you in, sync across your devices, and provide paid features.

Information we handle

Account details: your mobile number, which we use to send a one-time password (OTP) and to identify your account.

Your business records: customers, udhar/baaki, entries, bills, and reports that you create. These live on your device. If you turn on backup or sync, an encrypted copy is stored on our servers so you can restore it.

Payment information: if you buy a paid plan, the payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation of payment, not your full card or bank details.

Basic device and usage information needed to keep the app working and to fix crashes.

How we use it

To sign you in, keep your account secure, and sync your books across your devices.

To provide the features you ask for, such as backup, PDF export, and WhatsApp bills.

To support you, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your business records for advertising.

Storage and backup

Your primary data stays on your phone and works fully offline. When you are online and have backup enabled, we store an encrypted copy on our servers (hosted in India) so your records survive a lost or changed phone.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the app — for example, the SMS provider that delivers your OTP and the payment provider that processes your plan. They may only use it to provide that service.

We may disclose information if required by law. We never sell your personal or business data.

Your choices and rights

You can view, edit, and export your records from within the app at any time.

You can ask us to delete your account and the backup we hold. Financial records you create are soft-deleted in the app to protect your books, and you remain in control of your device copy.

You can turn backup and sync off at any time in the app settings.

Data retention

We keep your backed-up data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your backup within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Children

Chokho Hisab is meant for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app grows. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
